Business Partners
Globally Made
Our goal is to cultivate long-term relationships with our partners. We carefully select our partner’s facilities, seeking manufacturers who share our values of problem-solving, technical expertise, and, most importantly, transparency. We value partners who are patient with an emerging brand and are committed to building a lasting partnership. Trust is developed over time and is crucial, even more so than acquiring the skills to produce our most technically advanced products.
We are establishing a global network of manufacturing facilities in the USA, Vietnam, China, Portugal, India, Indonesia, Taiwan, Japan, and Italy. Each facility adheres to our rigorous standards for quality and production, follows clear labor practices, and is dedicated to minimizing environmental impact.
Our material selection process is thorough, whether we collaborate with manufacturers for our custom materials or source them from suppliers. Throughout the design and development stages, all materials must receive our approval before being sent to our manufacturing partners.
The strength of our relationships with these manufacturing partners reflects our core values—trust and sustainability. By 2030, we aim for all our products to be Fair Trade-certified and carbon-neutral. We are fully committed to this important transformation.
Material Compliance
We prioritize sourcing our base materials to ensure they are safe for people and the environment while still delivering our products’ highest quality and performance.
Technical outdoor fabrics and components are made from synthetic materials that undergo complex chemical processes to achieve specific functions, performance standards, and durability. To minimize the long-term environmental impact of these materials, we work closely with our suppliers to understand their manufacturing processes.
Our suppliers must ensure their materials comply with the Restricted Substances List (RSL). The RSL lists substances that need careful management due to environmental, health, or safety impacts. We are actively collaborating with our material suppliers to ensure compliance with RSL standards throughout our supply chain.
Purchasing Policy
We are committed to responsible business conduct and to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings. Our policies, which are regularly reviewed and updated, are based on international standards, including:
- Universal Declaration of Human Rights
- United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights
- International Labor Organization’s (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work
- ILO Indicators of Forced Labor
- OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises
- OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains in the Garment and Footwear Sector
The policies that govern our approach to responsible business conduct include:
The Supplier Agreement is a legal contract between Westlake Brands and our suppliers. It outlines the business conduct guidelines and requires suppliers to follow these standards in their facilities, as well as contractors, subcontractors, and employees involved in manufacturing our products.
